Friendship Cards and Gift Bag

I hope my best friend, Krista, doesn’t read this until Sunday afternoon! I made these cards and gift bag for her! She’s been so great taking Corey on short notice this summer, and I wanted to give her some special.

Friendship Card Bag

This is another of the cute and easy gift bags I’ve been making. The base of this bag is the one that I made in the video yesterday. As I mentioned in the video, I attached the little triangle sides to the sides of the of the bag. Now, when the bag is not filled, it stays upright. I like it better that way. I used the International Bazaar Designer Series Papers, Daffodil Delight and Very Vanilla card stock, and the From My Heart stamp set. (Loooooove this set!)  Ink colors were Pacific Point and Soft Suede. I also used the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder after I die cut the butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die in the Big Shot. A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels finishes the butterfly.

Here are the cards that coordinate and fill the gift bag.

Friendship For You

This card uses the Layered Labels stamp set and Apothecary Accents Framelits. The sentiment is stamped onto Pool Party card stock and cut with matching Apothecary Accents Framelit, and the shape behind it is cut out of the same color. I sponged the card stock pieces in Soft Suede. My apologies…I used retired Daffodil Delight 5/8″ Satin Ribbon on this card, but you could also use the Daffodil Delight 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon instead!

Friendship Hang In There

This may be my favorite card of them all! I again die cut the larger butterflies with the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. And, again, I gave them some texture with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The smallest butterfly was also embossed, but for this one I punched the shape with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. Some Pearl Basic Jewels added some fun to the butterflies! The sentiment is one in the From My Heart stamp set.

Friendship Happy Birthday

I had a bit of leftover Lucky Limeade 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon from the second card and decided that it would make a cute flower stem. The flower is punched out of Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point card stock using the Blossom Punch. The sentiment is again from the From My Heart stamp set. It is SO versatile! You’ll also note another butterfly punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch–I love that thing.

Friendship Kindness

Here’s that Elegant Butterfly Punch again, this time taking center stage! If you notice, I’ve stamped a small butterfly in the corner of each envelope. This butterfly is from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. It is one of 6 butterfly images in the set and coordinates with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. This card uses several of the patterns from the International Bazaar Designer Paper Series set. Don’t you love the variety and the colors? Yum! The sentiment stamp came from–you guessed it–From my Heart! I punched a border on the bottom of the front of the card using the Scallop Edge Border Punch. It is one of my go-to punches!

Whew! I hope you were inspired to make your own gift of cards for a special friend. I believe Krista will love these cards! I can’t wait to give them to her on Sunday! Remember, you can get the supplies for all of these cards and the gift bag in My Online Store!

See you soon,
Diane
